RodRadar — Excavation Safety Mobile Application

RodRadar develops smart excavation technology that helps construction teams detect underground utilities before digging. Their excavators use advanced radar sensors to scan what is hidden underground before excavation begins, helping prevent damage to critical infrastructure like gas pipes, water systems, electric cables and fiber lines. I designed the mobile application from scratch as part of the product ecosystem.

Problem

Developers and construction companies around the world lose billions of dollars every year because underground infrastructure gets damaged during excavation work. RodRadar created excavator-mounted sensors that scan underground areas before digging starts. The challenge was turning complex radar technology into a simple and usable interface for excavator operators working in real field conditions.

Solution

The visual design focused on clarity, usability and safety rather than decorative UI.

RodRadar — Back-office & Operations Platform

Scaling internal operations for Live Dig Radar® technology. The back-office platform gives RodRadar's operations team end-to-end visibility into excavation projects, device fleets and underground hazard alerts across multiple sites.

A strategic executive platform for a large infrastructure holding (under NDA). It consolidates data from hundreds of sites and industrial subsystems into a single decision-making surface — combining AI-enhanced dashboards, geospatial monitoring and an interactive asset hierarchy for complex structures.
